Quick Control screen: Display the Shooting Settings screen (just press the shutter button halfway and release it). Then press the Quick Control button and use the multicontroller to highlight the icon. The selected AF mode setting appears at the bottom of the screen. Rotate the Quick Control or Main dial to cycle through the three mode options.

All the on-screen controls are operational except the timer, which is greyed out. You can take single shot wih the on-screen shutter button.
The Live View mode on the 60D is much the same as other recent Canon DSLRs. However, the new LCD monitor provides a sharper, more detailed and colour-accurate view of the scene. As in other EOS models, three AF modes are supported for Live View shooting.
